Project Status

After analyzing the data fully, we decided that the 20x2x2 barb design was the most effective. The two tiers of barbs allow for maximum purchase in both muscle and fascia tissues. This barb design also allows for ease of production via injection moulding, due to its symmetry and linearity along one of its planes.

Next Steps

The next steps of our project are to begin designing the mesh portion of the device. Our team will have a brain storming session this week to decide on designs with the most potential. We will then meet with our prototyping consultant to help print these designs using the SLA Form 3 printer in the Jubel MakerSpace.
